This chakra is related to the green and is governed by the planet Venus. It responds to the openness and acceptance or bodhicitta known as "openness".
The possible physiological benefits for a healthy and balanced breathing and circulation fourth chakra, including the heart, lung and breast. The gland is the thymus.
Gems: Rose Quartz brings a gentle soothing energy that helps heal emotional wounds, contributing development of self-esteem and help to open up to unconditional love.

Celedra Gildea, a psychotherapist by profession, began designing malas, or prayer beads, in 1995 in order to support her spiritual practice in Tibetan Buddhism. In 2007 she went to Tibet to start a non-profit cottage industry for the Nangchen, training local Tibetan women in the making of malas.
